Default New o2 Sensor and...

I put a new Denso o2 sensor in today, the old one came out easy, seems like the denso has much more flow in/out of the sensor, I've read good things. Anyways, it'* in and I notice the car is kinda sluggish now compared to before. Yes, I did unplug the battery for a few minutes and it'* only gone about 1 mile. Is this normal?

Right...plug wires should not touch the O2 wiring.

Otherwise..the unhooking of the battery may have caused it.

The one plug wire for the far driver'* side rear of the motor plug gets within about an inch of the top of the oxygen sensor itself, but it did that before. Wires are brand new, obviously along with oxygen sensor. Only thing that was changed here was oxygen sensor and disconnect/reconnect of the battery. Just want to make sure d/c the battery and changing the sensor could do this? How long does the car usually take to re-calibrate or whatever it has to do? The sensor I pulled out was very clogged-up looking and as I noted before, the new Denso has many more holes and quite a lot more air-flow.

The wires sound good.

Let'* figure this is the battery unplug. Say about 100 miles and it should relearn the "Michael stole me" form of running.

Default batt

Have the same issue. I unhooked my batt to install a higher amp alt and the the car hesitated at first. Its been 100 mile and my mpg is stil not up to speed.
It could take 100 - 200 for the pcm to re-learn.

I'm not trying to drag this off topic, but how many wires did your Denso 02 have?

Thanks,
Andrew
