Default oil gauge

well about a month ago or so i brought up a post about my oil gauge going off when i come to a stop....... and we came to the conclusion that my sister doesnt know how to/where to take a car to get oil changed......... so i got one for it and the problem was solved...... the next oil change wasnt due till the end of next month or so but the gauge went off and i remembered that you guys suggested that i get one sooner than the due date..... well today i came to a stop and my guage dropped like no other and dinged and i stepped on the gas and the gauge went up again....... i decided to get an oil change anyways and not have to worry about it..... well about 20 miles later i stopped and the car dinged i looked at the oil gauge and it was down all the way and when i start going the gauge doesnt even go up half way

Did you check it your self after the light came on?

Is the engine making any knocking noises?
