Default plug wire replacement question

Hey All,

Have the Bonne in my garage right now, in need of new plugs and wires. I was actually relieved to see that access to each of the plugs doesn't look THAT bad.

However, what'* giving me problems is these plastic looms that the factory wires are routed thru along the base of the valve covers.

Any trick to getting these open or off, so the wires can be removed? The front one has the oil dipstick tube up against it, which seems to be keeping me from prying it off too far.
I haven't even looked at the rear one yet, but the frustration level on the front one makes me think that I might be in for more work than I thought this job was going to be.

I don't know if these are unique to the SSEi or not, so I hope I'm asking this in the right forum.

I'm also curious for those that have replaced their plug wires, did you re-use these things, or was it just easier to buy some universal wire holders to keep the new ones in place?

Thanks for reading!
