I've been in diagnosis mode for 2 months now trying to find my lack of acceleration/hesitation problem. I know there are tons of posts on this and I've been using that info. Very helpfull indeed, as I've been getting my hands dirty. I need to know were the MAP sensor is on a 1995 SE, Vin K. I was under there yesterday and could not seem to find it. Any info or diagram will help.

Also, the Haynes manual I have is pretty good, but the pictures and some of the descriptions do not correspond to my car. I know the manuals are directed at more than one model, but is there a way you can get a manual for your specific make and model? That would be nice.

Yes...I've done all the main tune items: plugs, wires, pcv, fuel/air filter, new vaccum lines. I am not throwing any codes, and Autozone said they could not retrieve any information without the light being on?? A also checked the resistance on the coils and they were all the same.

The car has to catch up with itself out of the hole from a dead stop, and when I put the pedal to the floor going 30mph. I've seen the abbreviation WOT...does this mean Wide Open Throttle??? I can't put the pedal to the floor and get the burst of acceleration.....it takes a while for it to get up to speed.

I've read tons of posts about clogged cats, FPR'*, alternators, crank/camschaft sensors and so on.

I'd like to get a gauge on the fuel rail and tape it to my windshield. Can I buy this at an autoparts store for relatively cheap??

You're right. WOT=wide open throttle

Fuel pressure gauges run about $39. Might be difficult to tape to the windshield though. There is only about 2.5 feet of line from the rail to the gauge once connected. At least it is with the one I bought.

Have you checked the MAF screen? Pulled and cleaned the throttle body? These may make a huge difference.

You know, I've read some posts on the cleaning of the TB which will make performance better. I saw the inside of the TB when I took the IAC out and it was pretty bad in there. The IAC was pretty corroded and I cleaned that off. Is the TB relatively easy to take off? Is there anything in particular I should be aware of??

I took the MAF sensor off to check it out when I took the IAC out. It looked pretty clean, and I wouldn't know what else to look for if it was bad. The Haynes manual said to tap it with a screwdriver handle while it'* running and if it sputters or dies, it'* bad. This did not happen. The MAF screen looked ok to me.....but I will clean it and the throttle body once I get a little more info about removing it.
