Unhappy Moonroof Leaking

I have a 1998 SSEi and park the car on a hill. The inside of my car was wet on the overhead consol above the rearview mirror. It rained alot and then froze overnight when this happened. How can I tell if the drainholes for the moonroof are clogged or water is leaking past the seal?

what you described sounds like your drain holes are either plugged like you said or one or both of them got disconnected.

Pretty sure you need to lower your head liner to inspect this.
do a search on sunroof drain holes, and look for procedure on 'how to'

oh and Welcome to the club!

come to think about to, a few years back my wifes 95 SSE had a small leak up there in the same area. but it turned out to be the actual roof leaking. The roof had rusted a little where the windshield trim piece met the roof. You my want to check that area out as well. Look for signs of bubbled paint due to rust. if you see this, than this could be the culprit.

But your prob is most likely drain hole related

Went to dealer and they said the drain was unplugged. Thanks for your help.

I had a similar problem. The drain on the passenger side was plugged. I ended up having to remove the drain from the car so I could run a heavy wire through it to clear the blockage. A pretty easy fix in the grand scheme of things, but a nuisance none the less.
