Default Major Probs!!!

Ok I am having a pretty nasty problem with my Bonne. This started sometime last night when I went to pick up my parents at the airport. The problem is that I get a SES light usually when I let go of the gas and when its around 2-3k RPM'*. When I get goin above 3k the light goes off and all seems fine. I went home today and used a can of Engine Brite or whatever its called and covered up everything vital really really good with plastic bags and when I started the car the engine revved slowly up to 3k and stayed there in Park. I got a little worried as that problem wasnt there before I cleaned the engine. Bigger problems after I started driving.... In drive everything is fine but when Im coming to a stop I can tell the car wants to keep going because its slightly harder to brake and when Im idling at a light the car wants to launch itself. Weird thing is after I let go of the brake and the car *slightly* launches itself, I start accelerating and it seems sorta slow. There isnt as much torque after 2k rpms as there is when I let go of the brake. Im assuming many of you have had this very same problem and Im curious as to what it might be. I dont think its major but what comes to my mind is a vacuum leak of some sort. Am I right? Im taking it in for an oil change and O2 sensor replacement on Thursday so I decided I would see what the code was and to probably fix it since I get paid Friday. Hopefully its nothing major. Thanks guys and sorry if my word usage and sentence structure sucks.

I'd look into the TPS. When I did the TPS mod on my car, I had a similar problem with mine when it was adjusted out of it'* ranges. Maybe your'* just bad?

Whew I hope thats all thats wrong with it. Where exactly is this TPS located and could it have been damaged by the water in any way? A few hours before I left to pickup my parents I washed the car down with just water since I was right by the water hose at my APTs and I shot a good deal of water towards the grill so Im assuming that was it since the problem got worse today after I shot even more water into the engine.

Weird thing today. Car ran perfect all day and at operating temps. Any clue as to what the deal is? Im still taking it in tomorrow for an oil change so I will have them check it out to see if there is still a problem somewhere.

Haro had a post the other day about his TPS connector and wires being brittle and cracking. It'* possible you got something more wet than usual and it has now dried out. I'd check around the TPS and see if you have brittle and cracking.

I checked it this morning and it looks just fine. I went to the dealership to get it checked out and they said it was throwing some tranny codes. Good thing I have a warranty on my rebuilt. Car runs perfect though but it seems like it doesnt quite have as much power as it used to. I cant chirp my tires
