Could be a bad CV Joint. Does it do it more when you turn the wheel?

Default clunk

if it does it when you turn the wheel it could be the upper strut mount.

could it be a wheel bearing? mine made more of a freakishly loud groaning sound when it was bad, but i suppose it could clunk as well, just a thought.

It could be worn rubber bushings that support the caliper .Pull the wheels and grab the caliper body firmly and yank the caliper hard up and down to simulate going over a bump and see if you can get the caliper to bang against the mounting bracket .I've found a clunk on my last 2 cars by checking this way and eliminated the problem by installing reman calipers(they were about due for calipers anyway.) Also had this happen with a Raybestos reman caliper right out of the box.The bushing hole in the casting was oversize and the caliper banged like hell over bumps.Come to think of it ,the other Raybestos caliper (I was replacing both) had a damaged bleeder screw seat down inside the caliper.Almost broke the bleeder screw off trying to tighten it to stop leaking. Then there was the rather pricey Raybestos brake hoses that only lasted about a year but that'* another story.Good luck in searching for your noise.
