Default poped brake line... addvice?

last week on my way home a dog ran out in front of me i slamed my brakes. then felt something funny. the new day i pulled the rear wheels off to find crusty brake lines and one that ruptured. its cold as hell out so i was wandering if anybody had some advice for me so i dont have to be out in the cold too long.

Compression fittings should not be used on brake lines. Some parts places won't even sell them to you if you say you'll use it on a brake line. Use either a double flare, or better yet a bubble flare, if you are connecting lines together. It may be easier to just find the nearest connection points, and replace the entire line.
