Thats the correct movement for the actuator. But the actual air temp doesn't change?

Is the left end of the threaded rod actually connected?
It should be connected to the blend door arm with a white grommet. Make sure the arm is moving too. If you need a pic I can snap one when I get home after midnight.

It gets cooler or hotter on the driver side as normal, but is always hot on the pass side. Driver side functions as it should, passenger is always at coolant temp (cooler when the car is cold, but hotter as the coolant temp rises)>

I have this same problem on a 2000 Regal....except it is reveresed. Driver'* side is ALWAYS hot (or at coolant temp). Passenger side works as it should. It does have dual climate control where the passenger side can set warmer or colder at the control head. However, this seems to have no effect. Actuator and air flow all seems good too. The problem is in the air temp on the drivers side.

Any other help on this issue would be appreciated!

Todd, you may want to check out this link which has just started in the 2000 forum. Then - you'll have to adjust for whatever differences there may be between the Bonnevilles and the Regals, but should give you a starting point.

Do you have any electrical problems? (Poor voltage from batery, or alterantor?) I am thinking that that can be a related problem on mine. The temp flashes for 30 seconds which I belive is a sign that GM uses to show weak voltage? Anyone?

No, I don't seem to have any other electrical problems and I do not have the flashing temp like you do. I did have an issue a while back where the LEDs went dark and you couldn't read them. This seems to be a common problem. Went to eBay and purchased a repaired control unit. Now the LEDs are still just as bright as new...but now this problem has developed. Maybe the repaired controller is the problem. I don't really want to replace it again.

Thanks Archon...I'll check that thread right now.

Anyone with solutions, please jump in here.
Thanks!

Do you have a link to Ebay for the repaired ones? I'd like to check into that. A name? A link?

The eBay seller I used is "Digital_Dash_Solutions". It'* an "exchange" service where he sends you a repaired unit and then you send back your defective one.

Here'* a current auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=270122958599 (P.*. This is a Regal control unit)

Note that his item description includes this text, "If you have hot air on one side & cold on the other, this will NOT correct your problem. Your system is out of calibration."

I am having the same problem, in fact the exact same one. By your avatar it looks like you have a PA too. At first i had not air coming out of the front face vents, only the windscreen vents and floor. Just 2 days ago I'm having the same problem. Lukewarm to warm on the driver'* side, even when I set the temp to 90 degrees, and the passenger'* side always blows cold no matter what the temp I set the main temp controller or the auxiliary passenger'* side controller to. I also have the same temp readout numbers flash. That happened to start about 2 or 3 months ago when I put in a new Optima battery.
