Cleaning AC Coil to Increase Heat Transfer on 94 SE

My 94Se has 119,000 miles on it. Assuming that the evaporator coil in the AC system has a pretty ggod layer of dust on the coils and that the heat transfer is not as good as it was, is there any way to get easy access to the coil to try to clean the fins and tubing to improve the heat transfer and give me slightly cooler AC air. I've checked Freon charge and it is right where it should be. Is this feasible or more trouble than it is worth?

Thanks,

Mike

There is a procedure in TechInfo for cleaning the evaporator coil. Try this: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/techinfo/?article=62

Mike, as far as I know cleaning the evap. coil will only affect your airflow, not the temperature.

It will improve thermal transfer as well (heat absorption) if the evap tubes are not covered with crud, dust etc.

Could be a dirty condenser, too.
