Turn signal problem
The kid came home tonight and the turn signal shaft/stick is hanging by the wires. It appears that ojhe of the end for the pin that runs through the turnsignal switch has broken off. It is made of a pot metal material. It appears attached to the steering column. Has anyone had this problem and can it be fixed by a shade tree mechanic. I have never removed a steering wheel with an ignition and air bag. I would love to see a diagram from a FSM.

Limited funds John. Buy the FSM and walk to work thinking about how to fix my ride or fix problem with help from the Bonneville brotherhood.

Don.. the stalk that is hanging..... is the end metal or broken plastic?
If broken plastic...use pliers or needle nose to pull the remainder of the turn shaft ouf to the column multifunction switch. Then PM me for a cheap replacement.
If it'* metal, the multifunciton switch may have broken. Step one...beat child.. step two..pay someone to put a new one in.
