chg 02 sensor w/o check eng lite on ?? What wrench ?
 

Ok I have 169k on the 98 Bonnie and think my mpg is off slightly. I have NEVER chgd the 02 but if its faulty wouldn't it turn on the Check Engine Lite ? Wheres the best palce and best brand to buy ? What socket needed to take out deep well ??

It's about time to change it ACDelco is the recommended brand,stay away from BOSCH!!!!! They make O2 sensor sockets. I paid 11.00 for mine at Advance. It is a 7/8 deep waeel with a slot in the side for the wire to hang out of. IMO it was worth it.

The socket is the best way. I happened to have a crow foot socket and used that..it was also easy.

just watch out for that spark plug next to it i did mine today and got to happy with the crows foot and took out a new plug lol

Why are there two different topics on this?

Change your O2. They rarely if ever throw a light. Use a crescent wrench. Works fine. Use AC Delco only.
