I was able to get the headliner board out of my 94SE (with sunroof) through the right rear door but I had to bend it some to do it and the board suffered a little damage which I think I can fix before I get it recovered.

I don't want to damage it again putting it back in. It appears that the right front door opening is wider corner to corner but I can easily visualize how to get it back in that way. I don't want to take the right front door off but I can't see an easy way to get it back in.

If anyone has experience doing this and can share some tips, I'd sure appreciate it.

Sounds like my experience. Light damage to headliner under grab handle. It was easily repaired though. A buddy to help might be the only thing you need. I did mine solo but harofreak00 had great results using two people to bend the headliner slightly upon reinstallation.

I'm sure he will chime in here to help you further.

I spoke to Harofreak and he described getting in in and out through front passenger door but I guess I'm thick headed and can't visualize that. Maybe he'll be kind enough to respond again.

It'* a real tight fit.. that'* for sure! it helps to recline the front seats all the way back, and move them as far back as possible. You have to angle the headliner so that one end is touchign the front lower opening of the door, and the other end is touching the rear, upper opening of the door. You have to bend it slightly to get it to go in right. It'* a real bitch but it is possible to do with enough patience..

since you already got the passenger seat out it will be a lot easier. and since you got it out already thats a start...no idea how you got it out the rear door though

Thanks to everyone. I think from Harofreak'* sketch I can see the process now. I've got a local guy who will recover it since it'* out of the car for $50.00 so I think I'm going to go that way assuming he can match the fabric.

One other question, is there some trick to recovering the sunvisors even without the little pouch things? I may buy some extra material and let my wife do those.

for $50 you cant go wrong...unless he uses the wrong adhesive...make sure its the CORRECT 3M stuff...(Super Trim Adhesive #08090) NOT (General Trim Adhesive #08080)

*edit*, i read it wrong, i thought you were asking how to get them out, but you bovisouly got them out if you have the headliner our

the visors come out with the two screws on the one side, once you drop the one side, the bars will fall out. you will also have to remove the plastic holder on the other side. just pull the tab down halfway (you will feed it) with a knife or something, and then yank on the piece. the visors have a long wire on them, and the connector is way up under the headliner.
