I used some superfine sand paper and as with all the other grounds. I was amazed at the stuff that came off.

Another bad spot may be where the aluminum bracket bolts to the head/block. Dissimilar metals can breed corrosion.

Sounds like all the ICM mounting points need high temp conductive grease.

Any one have a source for a good low priced conductive grease.

Any autoparts store'* dielectric grease will do well.

Meanwhile..my friend the P0171 stopped off for a visit last night. I'm starting to wonder if my fuel pump which is being replaced soon is possibly causing this issue.

See this thread as I kinda let this one die out.

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=45550

More problems still plague me. And I've realized after replacing the negative battery cable that the positive cables are both very corroded. Will be replacing them as well. But will be posting in the above thread.

Replacing all the battery cables was the answer.

Please see the pm I replied to.

Searching on my user name and P0171 will net you all the possible issues I've found to cause that code.
