Okay guys, I seem to be getting deeper and deeper with this supercharger I replaced. Not only do I not have an a/c, but now I have no power. It'* like the transmission is slipping, but the fluid is okay. So is it the supercharger not kicking in or what, I am at a loss here. It'* a 95 Bonneville and if it'* the supercharger need to find instructions on how to rebuild it. I am ready to just blow the car up. Thanks Carol

Okay, this is exactly what we did!

Disconnected injectors and tied back
took belts off (What a pain to put back on!)
Disconnected all the plug in to all the different things that were plugged into it (don't know the techincal terms)
Took the whole supercharger off
Cleaned up the intake
Put the other supercharger on
And hope that we put everything back where it belonged
Had new gaskets for the intake and where it attaches to the driver side
and put in 1 bottle of oil

Now it runs like ****!!!!!!!!!

This is what it does

When you step on the gas the tach goes sky high and so does the boost
Like you are just reving the motor up and sitting still instead of trying to get down the road

Unlike a turbo, a supercharger doesn't necessarily "kick in" - the boost is more or less constant with revs. (after all, the belt is always driven).

It may not necessarily be the supercharger. My expertise goes just about far. You gurus, chime in

Have you looked at the boost gauge? Does it measure boost under hard throttle? a little more info on exactly what it is doing and when it is doing it would be helpfull, you may have an ECU problem....when you put the supercharger back in did you make sure and hook all the vacuum lines back up to where they need to be, did you disconnect the battery when you did the job....get new gaskets? tell us EXACTLY what you did and what your EXACT problems are, it doesnt matter if it reads like a novel at least we get more information to help solve yer problem

my SSEi did this once I ended up having it towed to the dealer for diagnose.....3 grand a new tranny and PCM later it runs fine again (at least untill I tore the SC out to built the intercooler......but it will run fine again after put back together).....I honestly suggest having a reputable dealer diagnose it......after of course making sure you installed everything correctly...try obtaining a factory service manual and ensuring you did put everything back together OK.....sounds to me like yer PCM may be blown with the AC problems too......my PCM blew and made the car start revving and not going, but the tranny was gone too.....just a matter of time for the 4T60E

Are you sure you got EVERYTHING hooked back up? If it ran fine (tranny wise) when you last drove it, it is unlikely to spontaneously die because you swapped the SC. Did you maybe unhook something extra, I dunno, I'm reaching.

Man... it could be a million and one things... From the SC to the tranny and every thing in between. Should cost you about 80 bucks at mechanic but sounds like you do need to scan the computer. Maybe some one on here and near you has a good scanner?

Who knows maybe just an OBD scan could help :(
