DAMN!!!

Those aluminum bolts would have snapped the heads off before a socket would crack! LOL.

All the ideas would have suggested have already been stated...

LOL. Quadruple! Something's wrong with this forum, I think. Taking forever for me to load it. Plus, on the main page it's not saying who the last poster was. :?

your telling me something is really wrong here. Im afraid to do something that would break them off. I talked to a friend of mine who is a GM tech, he cant understand it either, he said it may be stripped especially if someone has already replaced the thermstat. Unfortunately im still in kansas at the moment getting ready to help my mother move back to NJ and i dont have anyone really to call and help me. But as it is, Im not even confident that anything can be done to get these damn bolts out safely :x

Eventually I plan on getting the intense PCM (possibly the dhp) for the car, will these pcm's produce the same desired effects that this 180 degree thermostat will? If so I might just forget it.

The 180 t stat will only help your car run cooler. It has only that one purpose.

Let's hit a quick review.
Follow the hose from the top d/s of radiator to the engine. Where it connects is the waterneck (aka t stat housing). On that housing are two 10mm bolts. When you try and turn them COUNTER clock wise, you are breaking sockets.

Where in Kansas are you? There may be another member close that can assist.

Let's call in backup!
