CCR strut replacement

Ok i want to replace my struts but I do not want to put in aftermarket struts. I want the CCR. I found some good used ones from a 99 ssei and would like to know if those struts are a direct replacement for my 94 ssei. Thanks so much.

The ones on ebay? They will bolt right in, no problems.

Hold on to that thought for a bit. I need to do some cross-referencing. I seem to recall some slight differences in suspension and braking between 94/99. Let me get back to you after I get home later tonight. I can tell you for certain by part number if they'll swap. I forgot to bring my magic book to work again.

Since the struts aren't made anymore, this is the best I can do. I do want to keep the factory option. My dad checked the part numbers and they are the same and also called gm parts counter and they confirmed. Too late anyhow, I already bought them and they are on the way.

Sounds good. Let us know how it works out. BTW, Bill's Magic Bonneville Book confirms that they are the same part number too.

Are you replacing CCR's with CCR's? The reason I ask is I would be interested in one of your rears. I want to connect a working strut to my LR wiring to verify whether I have a bad strut or if it's wiring or controller. Testing is telling me I have a bad strut actuator. I want to keep my CCR's too and I have located a pair of new rears, but they are costly and I don't want to go that route if I have other problems.

They dont make them anymore? What kinda crap is that!?! I havent looked into buying struts in a while but thats bull.... oh well..

Excuse my stupidity, but what does CCR stand for??

Pontiac1983 05-15-2003 09:01 PM

ccr is short for computer control ride. NVSSEI, I am replacing ccr's with ccr's. One of the struts wasn't filling with air but I mickey moused the thing and sealed it up tight with a plastic wire tie. After that my error code emitting from my two RIDE buttons went away. Let me know if you want those struts.
