I did more testing on my 94 B'ville blower failure :?: . I failed to mention it has manual A/C. I put 12V to the blower and it works. Someone had mentioned a blower control module under the relay rail in the engine compartment. Does a car with manual A/C have a BCM? I removed the relay rail and did not find anything like that. I did observe that the 2 wire harness going to the blower goes directly from the blower and then passes thru the upper firewall near the passenger side "A" pillar. It doesn't pass thru anything else in the engine compartment. I checked fuses in panel under left side of dash and other one under r/* of dash.

Is there anything else I'm missing. I guess I'll have to take it to the dealer for him to diagnose it but it just seems like something simple that would cause the blower to get NO power. I even tappped on the switch as I turned it back and forth. Still nothing. Any other ideas?

So you don't get anything on any of the four settings?

That would lead me to believe it'* not grounded properly. Can you test the ground to the blower?

Check Fuse 5D under the instrument panel, then check Fuse 3 in the RH underhood fuse block.

All of the fan power must go through a relay, although in different ways. The relay is located under the RH underhood fuse block. Start at the accumulator and count three relays, L to R. It is the third one. That could be bad.

Also there is a set of resistors that controls speeds 1-3, but if your high speed doesn't work, I would start with the relay first.

I have the same problem with the a/c blower not blowing air. I have practically taken the entire car apart for this and can't seem to find the problem. I have checked the voltage and applied current to the blower and functions. The symptoms prior to faliure, blew slow or only at that speed and sometime functioned normal, then just quit.

What did you find at the fan wiring harness when you checked the voltage? Is there a ground there? Is there 12V+ when the fan is on high?

Well, fuddyduddy was right. It was a relay that was bad. As you face the firewall, it was the 3rd relay from the left under the fuse rail . I think the coil went out.

Relay in position # 5 is the same type so I switched them out and the blower worked. I figured that it must be a relay as I was getting a good ground and when I put 12V directly to the fan, it blew.

I'll be down at the auto store tomorrow getting a new relay and then I should have air again.
