That's about the same thing as the VATs bypass write up.

VATs cam be tough to determine. The best way is the security light. Reason being is 92-95 it disabled the starter from cranking. 96-99 it disabled the fuel pump after it primed.
92-95 if the car cranks, vats is not the issue 96-99 if the car does not crank, vats is not the issue. GM wanted to keep us on our toes, by changing up how the security system disabled the car. Being a 94/95 car, the problem is odd. Please check for fuel pressure by depressing the schrader valve on the fuel rail after keying the car to on. Watch for spraying fuel as this test is not perfect, but it will tell us if the car is getting fuel at all. To test spark, simply remove one or two plug wires at the coil pack and look for sparks while cranking it over. Don't touch the coils while running this test. Those should tell us which direction to go. |
Well, I figured out what the problem was. I went looking for the TDM today and found a toggle switch under the kick panel. I flipped it and sure enough, the car started! The previous owner must have put the switch in himself.
I discovered a small gas leak by the fuel filter but other than that it sounds good. |
