Car won't start... Need help.

I have a 1995 Bonneville SE, and I can't figure out why it won't start.

Here is what I know:
-The engine cranks, but won't start or "catch"
-The security light comes on steady and goes off as normal.
-There is no fuel pressure in the engine
-There is no spark getting to the spark plugs

Does anyone have any ideas about what could be wrong?

Could be a VATS issue. Do you have a spare key you can try?

No, unfortunately I dont. I got the car at an auction and it only came with one key. It was used as a city employee vehicle before I bought it.

Kevin or Dan, could this be a VATS issue?

Seems odd there's no fuel pressure or spark. This would lead me to believe it's the VATs. Try cleaning the chip and see if that helps. Otherwise do the VATs bypass. If you put the spade type connectors you can remove the bypass and go back to stock with little effort.

I tried to measure the resistance in the chip on the key and it keeps giving me a reading of zero. Is there another way to find the correct resistance, or am I just doing it wrong?

Have someone hold the key or clamp in a vise. Touch one lead to one of the silver contacts that stick out from the chip, and the other lead to the other side. You should get a reading then. If not, Id say the resistor is open.

I just went to RadioShack and bought a new multimeter. It turns out my old one didn't have the 20k setting, and the new one gets a good reading. My neighbor suggeted that the car's computer may be dead, he had a similar thing happen to him. Would a dead computer cause this type of issue?

Also, I looked in the fsm. It says if the key values do not match, the starter is disabled,
as well as fuel delivery.

I did some searching today and found a way to bypass the VATS completely. I purchased one of these modules here:

GM VATS or PASSkey II Bypass Module For LS1 and LT1 :eBay Motors (item 220490245563 end time Dec-03-09 19:05:53 PST)

I don't think it comes with instructions, so can anyone help me figure out how to install it?
