Default Fuel? Computer?

Hey guys, Im a newbie here, This is my first post, and Im totally new to these cars, I just picked up a 94 Bonneville from my stepsister for a daily driver so I dont run my other cars into the ground and have fwd for the winter, The tranny was toast in it, So I traded some stuff around and got a friend to put a tranny in it while Im up here at school. He put about 100 miles on it with no probs, I started driving it back up here to Pa for school, Went about 150 miles no prob, Then it started bucking on me with cruise control and anytime I went over 1/4 throttle it would die on me. I stopped at a truck stop, and popped the fuel filter off and it was pretty restricted, blew it out with compressed air, and went on down the road, 15 mins later it started again...I found if I cut the car off for a min or 2 and started it back up I could go for a little ways, especially if I was easy on the gas and set the cruise, But still on big hills when I would drop outta OD it would start acting shitty again? Do you think the fuel filter is the prob? I picked up a new one, going to put it on tomorrow...Any other ideas?

Well this is a fresh tranny, only 34,000 on it, And the last one died because of the torque converter acting up....When it drives, its runs and shifts fine, But once it starts acting up it wont let you go past 1/4 throtlle without it seeming like its starving for fuel...Actually Im going to Wyotech, over in Blairsville

CEL? Check engine light? No lights whatsoever, which made me think it was something basic like a filter... The car sat for a year after the tranny died but there was hardly any gas in it...And I noticed today when I filled it up, It stuck past Full and finally after a while dropped down...

Sounds a lot like what happened to me when my fuel pump got weaker as it got warmer.

All I know is that it was replaced with a tranny out of a newer Bonne, dont know any details, I had it done while I was at school since the car was in Va and I was up here in Pa, If it was my choice I would've done the swap so I knew the car a little better...

You need to get the car scanned. Guesswork on our part until you do.
