Default Car shakes over 67mph

Whenever I take my car past 67 I seem to get a shake in it, never happens below, no other symptoms below that. I think it might be my very slightly bent rim, but I am not sure. The other funny thing about it is, when I make any slight turn at 67+ it goes away. It only happens when I am going straight. The worst it gets is around 72. I can also add that I recently rotated the wheels and had all 4 balanced. What does everyone think here?

check the airpressure and see if they can rebalance the tires and if any play in the steering wheel.

Airpressure is perfect, 30 all around. The same thing happened before and after the balance, except now more pronounced. I am guessing if it'* the rim, that could explain why it SEEMS to have gotten worse cause I did a rotation and the slightly bent rim is up front now. I seem to have no play in the steering wheel, everything seems tight. I myself was leaning towards it being the bent rim, but I wanted to know what everyone else thinks off hand or things to check for otherwise (like the previous post). Thanks guys

probably the rim and since you mentioned you brought it to the front I'm sure that'* what'* making it worse.

now you know what this means.....

time for some new rims

If the wheel was balanced with a bent rim it would shake at 35+.

Get the tires balanced again and look at your rotors.

My '94 SSE did the same thing, at the same speed. Turned out the tread was seperated on the rear tires. New tires all around, problem fixed.

Rotors are brand new, problem happened before the new ones too. I have brand new Bendix rotors on there (as listed in mods) braking is beyond smooth. Tires also don't seem to have an issue, they are in very good condition.

I would check over the car for a bad wheel bearing, tie rod or ball joint. All items are possible and the mention of you turning the wheel and it going away.. (when pressure is applied) could make them suspect. If a rim is bent.. it'll be bent on a turn also.

How many miles on the tires? What brand? Are they a brand known for being round and rolling round and staying round with lots of miles of wear on them?

I suspect the balancing or a bad belt/tire. If new but dealer won't help, you might look for Road Force Hunter 9700 balancer. It'* been used by GM to troubleshoot the stiffer frames on Park Avenues and Auroras, LeSabres, and Cadillacs.
