Default Single Spark, Flood no start

I have a 1992 se......alternator went, roasted battery (replaced both)....serpintine belt went behind harmonic balancer and took out crank sensor (replaced sensor). Had ignition module and coils check..all is good. Now this is my problem we unhooked the oil sensor so we could get a spark (only a single spark), spark plugs we soaked with gas. Vat system was also bypassed.....so does anyone think that if the oil pressure sensor switch is replaced well give me a steady spark.

The oil pressure sender has nothing to do with spark. It CAN disable power to the fuel pump if the pressure drops too low.

You say you had the ICM and coils checked. How? The procedure for testing the coils is in Techinfo (link at the top of the page), and 'over the counter' ICM testers are notoriously wrong.

I would suggest swapping in a Delco Type 2 coil/ICM setup to replace your Magnavox setup (worth the money regardless of your problem) and see if it'* better.

The ICM handles spark up to 400 rpm'*, then hands off those duties to the PCM. However, the cam and crank signals still pass through the ICM before they go to the PCM.

Considering the belt throwing issue, I'd also very carefully inspect the wiring harness for the cam and crank sensors for damage. The harness originates at the connector on the driver'* side of the engine very close to the rear cylinder head, routes to the ICM, cam, and crank sensors.

took the coils and ignition module to autozone...ran the test 10 times and passed every time. Also had a friend come over with his snapon scanner and ran all tests, there is power running to all (10V) crank, cam and ignition module. There was no spark before, then we unhooked the oil pressure switch (got one spark).

10V may not be enough for proper function.

Autozone'* tester is a joke. Don't trust it'* results either positive or negative:
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ght=oregon+icm

The ICM in that topic was bad out of the box. But his original ICM was tested as BAD by Autozone, and when I replaced the FUSE that caused his problem (on the passneger side at the base of the A pillar above the hushpanel), I installed his so-called BAD ICM, and the car is running fine to this day.

Bad test good, and good test bad. Testing ICM'* is a joke. Scanners can't test ICM'* or coils either.

While my car is a different year...at 5psi of oil pressure, with many warnings lights and the chimes going all out.. oil pressure did not disable power to anything.

The oil level sensor will keep your car from starting w/o oil though. I am unsure of it'* method to keep the car from starting.
