Fuel filter?
My fuel filter is the only high mileage mant. I havn't done to my car yet. I've done everything else coolant flush, tranny service, the works. Now not changing that would it make my car sort of slugguish, cause it seems sort of sluggish when I lay on it. My car has almost 145,000 miles on it and still running great cept when I had to replace my water pump that sucked. Just wondering if I should get that done right away?

Re: Fuel Filter
Not to argue with previous posts, BUT be very, very careful with the plastic connectors for the fuel line/pump connection.
My good friends at the "quick oil change" place managed to break the plastic connector on mine and caused a major problem. The problem is the fuel is (as you know) under pressure and if it is not connected tightly can be a fire hazard. Now, the fact is that the plastic connectors are not available and if broken you have to replace the fuel line....... Took me three tries. First, dealer ordered fuel line for a non-supercharged car. Second, shipper bent the fuel line ruining it. Third try got the right part. Major pain to replace fuel line. What should have take ten minutes took almost two hundred dollars for part and two plus weeks time in getting done.
Be very careful as the plastic is getting brittle with age!
