What exactly is your car doing that makes you think it needs a tune up? Is the Service Engine Soon (SES) light on?

Its riding rough from takeoff but kinda smooths out. When sitting idle i can go to the tail pipe and hear it sputtering. My Engine light has been on for a while, believe it is the o2 sensor. It has been riding fine since my last tune up. Im puzzled guys.

If your check engine light is on, you have one or more codes set. Tuning it up will likely not work, or work for only a short time if you do not correct the problem that is setting the code. All of the factory manual driveability troubleshooting procedures start with 'check codes, repair as necessary to clear codes' before going on to anything else. On another thread, someone said Autozone will check your codes for free; i have not validated that as I have my own scan tool... but getting at and fixing whatever is tripping that code is your first step. Get to it quickly, if you are right and it is the O2 sensor your engine is likely running in limp home mode, which is overly rich, and will likely cook your catalytic converter, and you don't even want to know how much one of those costs. The rich mixture may also be fouling plugs, etc, which may be the source of its rough running.

The SES light is a concern and needs to be read. Autozone will do it for free!

Also..when was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

Which two plugs? Are they matched to the same coil?

Is there any chance you can post a picture of the plugs?
