Default Power Steering problem? Only working turning one way.

Hello,

I have a '99 SE, and when I turn the wheel to the left it feels like there is not power steering. Turning the wheel to the right is no problem, but the left is quite difficult. This just started yesterday out of nowhere. Any ideas on what it might be?

Its probably in the rack itself.

What would something like that cost to fix?

Is it an easy fix or one i should take in. I have some knowledge, but not a great deal.

I agree with replacing the rack.

If you're not confident that you can do it, you probably shouldn't touch the steering. It'* simple and shouldn't cost much to have done. You will need an alignment afterwards.
