Default RAP repair? or used RAP

Has anyone tried to repair a Retained Accessory module? I think one of the main diodes may be 'leaky'. This would explain my power accessories turning on by themselves (antenna, radio, doorlocks).
Does anyone have a used good one for sale?
I completely disconnected mine for now and all problems disappeared!

I think you're talking about the remote accessory control module (RAC). Probably not much that uniquely identifies the box compared to the EBCTM or the PCM. Could try the junkard at www.car-part.com. Best bet would be to send them a detailed photo with the three wiring harness connectors and tell them to go look in a 93 Bonneville in the same location as yours.

Or you could order a new one.

Did you disconnect the RAC/RFA module under the dash, or did you just pull the Retained Accessory Power relay from the relay centre?

Default It'* the not the relay

I removed the entire remote/retained accessory unit. Removed the relay prior, but that didn't fix the problem....so relay are ok.

Now wait a minute...

According to the diagram... admitedly for a 94 not 93... pulling the relay should have cut out the radio completely, even with the ignition switch in run or in accessory...and even if the remote accessory control module was faulty.

Maybe you pulled the wrong relay... In the 94 there are two relays... one for the radio in position H and and one for the windows and sunroof in J. Don't know about the 93.

I am just suggesting that you should be very sure that the relay contacts have not fused over .... or broken and flopping over and switching on the accessory power uninvited.... before you replace the control module itself...

The fact that your door locks operate uninvited also means that this is not a remote accessory power problem, because the door locks are always hot... they have to be or you couldn't power lock with the door open.... and they are not in the retained power circuit.

Again, I am admitedly looking at the 94, not 93, but the principles should apply...
