can I swap a 1996 with ECC to manual controls?

Call me crazy for wanting this but i really don't care much for the ECC system. I prefer the old fashion knobs as I can do that much easier without taking my eyes off the road. There are plenty of manual control panels on ebay for $50. What would be required to make the swap?

I am with you 100% on this one. I wish I could get heat out of my vents in the winter but with the ECC it dosen't kick in the vents until I drop the temp to 70. However I don't think you can just get the controls and put them in. I am not positive but I think there is some other vacume controls and things you would need to hook it up.

I'm curious about that too. I hate the ECC. When it first got cold, I sat in my car for like 30 mins or so trying to figure how to get heat out the vents, or just do a defrost/floor. Seriously need to slap the dude that pass that thing through.
