1992 SSE Bonnie Suspension
How can I tell if I have a self-leveling suspension? I bought the car used and it needs some suspension work and i'm not sure with shocks/stuts to buy.

If you have an air compressor in your trunk you have ELC or air leveling. You will notice a small compressor underneath your car..2 lines lead to air shocks at the back and the other to the trunk..
ssssssstttttt...compressed air is good

More specific things to look for:
1. ON/OFF buttons and a shrader valve right next to the trunk latch between the taillights in the trunk.
2. Small airlines going to the rear struts.
3. A small sensor arm showing at the bottom of the right rear strut.
4. A small air compressor kindof in between the airbox and washer fluid reservior under the hood.
A 92 SSE should have it, unless you're equipped with CCR? Do you have the performance and normal ride buttons on the center console? Or just TC, and the 2 shift buttons?

Ok, since your car has the inflator in the trunk like you said, you definitely have ride leveling. Your car should have come with a pontiac accessory kit (large black bag in the trunk) that has a long hose in it. You connect the hose to the valve in your trunk, press the ON button, and go inflate your tires, beach balls, inflatable pool, etc. There won't be any pressure there for you to check unless you turn the compressor on.
