Dogbone mount replacement 1995 Vin K
I am thinking about replacing the dogbone mount for my motor in my VIN K (Series 2) inside my 1995 Pontiac Bonneville. Reason being is, i want to reduce engine "twist" during rev and heavy acceleration. From what I understand, this would in effect help the power to be delivered better on sudden floor-out and such. Is this true, where can I get such a part? I have called Intense and I am still waiting to see if they can match my part cause I sent them pics, I was just hoping someone on here would have maybe had done it before and know where to get it from.

There is a dog bone at the rear of the transaxle on the passenger side attached to the frame.. This does somewhat help with torquing of the engine.. But I don't think there is enough strength on the radiator header of the car to support the dog bones..
And usually if the car has dog bones it doesn't have the Torque Axis mount either..
I think you are talking about the one I was thinking of... Not the Torque strut up front on the W bodies..
I have never used a performance unit... I simply replaced mine as it was deteriorating, the replacement was an OE type from the parts store..
But if you find out that they have a performance one... Let us know

we have one dog bone... After years they can look a little beat up and loose...
I would like to replace the rear mount on mine tho

Hmmm....okay...well where can i get better mounts? As I don't know 100% about this stuff, I am open to suggestion, my main idea is to strengthen the motor in the bay to limit movement

I'm not aware of any performance or aftermarket improved mounts. I replaced mine with OEM. Works great, even with the amount of power I'm putting down in the Zilla.

Would the Series II */C have compatible mounts that are better by chance?
