Default Window problems

I just put in a new master window switch, which I thought would fix my intermittent window problems that have pestered me since I bought the car. One rear window will still not work. When I hit either the master switch or the switch on that door, I hear a little click like the window motor is trying, but not achieving movement.

Any ideas?

Sound to me like the gears in the lifting mechanism are loose or stripped.
That would involve opening the door and replacing the mechanism itself.
by the by what year is the car?

If it were loose or stripped, wouldn't I hear more than just a click, maybe some grinding?

Check my sig, 92 SSE.

Is the clicking noise coming from the window area itself or from the control panel?

From the window area, just one single click.

I have the same problem with my rear passenger window. It will go down from the drivers controls, but not up. It does both from the back though, but occasionally the driver will have to put the window down. I find it very rediculous. I can also hear that click noise but i dont' know what it is.

Also, sometimes the drivers window will not go down, and to fix it, you have to open and slam the door. This can also get annoying, but is easily solved. It would be even eaiser if the problem was justnot there...

Same exact symptoms here... Some times if the rear driver'* side window goes down, it will need a helping hand to get back up, like pulling up on the top, which leaves greasy hand prints.

My window worked briefly today. It needed a lift to get back up. It made a horrible grinding noise when it got to the top until I let go of the switch.
