Default Changing Belts

What all is involved in changing my belts on my 97 SSEi? I know I have to jack up the motor and remove the front motor mount but what bolts have to come out , there is 2 that mount to the frame,1 that goes threw the mount.1 on the right side of the motor,1 on the left hand side of the moyor behind a pulley. Is there one on the bottom or other ones I'm not aware of? I'm in LA and they want $65 to change my belts.I can buy the tools and do it myself cheaper,all my tools are home in IN and I'm working in Los Angeles

All you should have to do is remove the tension on the belt by rotating the tensioner for each belt. While holding the tensioner (I think its left on the Bonnevilles) slip off the belt. Take a picture before hand so you know the way the belt was on it.

You only need to remove the 1 bolt at the lower end of the cast bracket on the engine.

1. Jack the car up on the passenger side and support it properly.
2. Turn the wheel to the right and then remove the plastic access panel in the fenderwell by removing the 3 plastic clips, pull out the center with pliers about 3/8" then remove the whole clip.
3. Place a 2" X 4" under the engine oil pan at the front of the engine then use a hydraulic jack to take up some of the engine weight, just enough to support it.
4. Remove the crank position sensor wiring plug.
5. Remove the lower engine mount nut (not sure of the size 15 or 17 mm maybe). If the stud does not come out with the nut then remove that and then the steel spacer sleave between the bracket and the block.
6. You now have access to remove a belt(*).
7. Use either a 15mm socket or wrench or a Torx 50 to slacken the tensioner pulley by turning counter-clockwise (same proceedure for accessories or SC belt).

I'm sure you can figue out how it goes back together, if not post for more help.

The Supercharger belt is the first belt with the accesory belt behind it. Pay close attention that the belts are properly seated in the crank pulley once installed. Start the engine and then stop it and check once the job is complete.

Also, the idler and tensioner pulley bearings will fail at some point. It'* good practice to change these before they fail and ruin a belt. There is 1 76mm flat tensenior pulley for the accessories. There is 1 76mm flat tensioner, 1 76 ribbed idler and 1 90mm flat idler for the supercharger. You can change tensioner pullies without changing the tensioner assembly.

both belts go around the front [pass side] motor mount bracket
