Default Blower Fan Cutting In and Out

I'm on my 2nd brand new AC Delco blower fan and the power control module (the thing you usually replace when your also replacing the blower fan) in less than 1 1/2. So far I'm getting it replaced under warranty (1 yr.). I can tell when my blower fan is ready to go when it starts to cut in and out (turns off and on). It eventually fails. I've had a mechanic look at my car and he just tells me my blower fan and PCM is bad but can't tell me what is causing them to go out every time. I know it is a short. I'm tired of bringing it to one mechanic after another telling them to find the short, paying them money, and coming away with the same #%@% short. This short has been bugging me now ever since I bought the car over 2 yrs. ago. It would be a good car if not for this. I'm not so concerned w/out having air in the summer, but living in Minnesota I will for sure need defrost in the winter as a matter of saftey and being able to drive the car. Anyway, if anyone knows what information I need to pass on to the next mechanic in order to get this fixed please, please, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Doug Worner

Oh, yah, I'm pretty sure I have ECC.

Where you having the same problem (i.e. blower fan and pcm cutting in and out and eventually burning out all together)? The last mechanic said it looked like to much juice was being sent to the blower and pcm.

If you did have this same issue, what did you do to fix it?

Doug...you are in MN..anywhere near the Cities or Mankato? There'* a high concentration of members and..I'm sure for a little beer..they'd help find it.

Meanwhile..there are ground busses under the carpet on both driver and passenger sides...by the door frames..right near feet

Check them for corrosion, many people also have corrosion or bad connections at the battery cables..all ends...and find cleaning these areas up to help many electrical issues.

I already had a mechanic check for a short in my car and found nothing. He checked the battery cables and connections and said they were good. If you know who in the Twin Cities area might help me with this, just let me know and I can compensate them any way they wish.
