Default 92 SSE problem (maybe ground problems) STUMPED

Hi,
New to the forums here. Great site. I have a 92 SSE (98,000 miles). Car has not been used much the last 4 months or so. I could always go out and it would start and run perfect when I needed it. Well, recently I started it, and after a couple of minutes it just died. After a few hours, it may or may not start. It is not a fuel problem. I think it may be a PCM problem or ground for the PCM. Car has had a interier leak for sometime, so I know there has been moisture on the back floor. Maybe faulty grounds. What I am noticing, is when you turn the key to the run position that the SES light is not lighting up most of the time. I know that it should light up, then go out after the car has started. (sometimes when I turn the key on, it DOES light up, and the car will start and run for a few minutes , then just cut out.) When I get no SES light before cranking, it will not start. ALSO, when I get no SES light prior to starting, I am NOT getting a signal to the connecter (paperclip trick) under the dash. So not even a 1-----2 flash code. The times I turn the key and DO get the SES light to stay on , I can start the car and read codes with a paper clip normally ( no stored codes). Its a very strange problem and do not want to start tossing PCM'* in it until I locate any ground problems that may be causing this. When it is acting up, I hear relays clicking, and even the cooling fans kick on for a split second (a few revolutions) Battery is new and alternater is fine.. I guess what I need are any suggestions and especially I need any GROUND locations on a 92 bonneville that people know the location of. ALSO, all accessories ( windows, locks, ect work fine)

Thank you in advance - Bruce -

Yeah man, sorry nobody replied. We must have overlooked it, which doesn't happen very often at all. Glad you got it figured out.

Sorry -- I should have explained -- It was a bad PCM -- after about 3 days of chasing wires and grounds and finding no problems. I resorted to the "rapping the PCM with a blunt object trick". I could get the car to run on one whack, and kill it on another. Got a boneyard PCM w/mem cal from another 92 SSE ($40) and it solved all the problems. Seems to be running great.
Take care, Bruce
