Default General Motors (SPECIFIC) OBD 11 Drive Cycle

I disconnected my battery for over 30 minutes and reconnected it. I now need to go for an emissions test but need the computer to reset itself in order to get proper readings on the dyno type test. The drive cycle has approximately 8 tests to perform in order to reset the computer. Do I need to do these function in the exact order specified or can I just do all 8 according to traffic etc? I don't have facilities to drive the car the standard 100 miles since the car has just been purchased and it not registered and plated properly. I hope you get my drift.
