A friend of mine had my car yesterday and filled it up with regular gas i'm kinda worried here , could it be bad???

it wont be that bad...just tell them NOT to drive it hard....it will run like crap....but its not the end of the world

i had a tank of 87 4 or five fill ups ago, and it didnt noticeably run worse, but gas mileage sucked.

The knock sensor should read any knock and retard timing to compensate.

You shouldn't have any problems except lower power and lower mileage.

my mom has 80 on hers, and it has not seen a tank of premium in 70K miles. 98ssei.
