Default 96 SE bad water pump

I'm in the process of changing out the water pump. My question is this. The power steering pulley has to come off in order to get the last bolt out on that side. Are the threads right hand or left hand. Thanks in advance.

No problem, one bolt is at 12 and the other is at 6.

Be gentle when you let it down. The $28 oil pressure sender is right below it.

I'm having trouble removing the water pump. I removed 6 bolts total.
3 from each side. The last one was a smaller one that is under the
engine mount. According to the pics that I have found this should be all
the bolts. Do I have to loosen the motor mount(*) in order to remove?
I really cant see much at all under the pump even with the mirrior trick.
Am I missing something?

It might be stuck with the gasket. Try gently prying it. If it don't feel like it'* going to move, don't force it. I'm not at home so I can't check, but I do have a picture of one somewhere.

Most find it necesary to remove the mount. Dan can probably describe it better than most since he did it in the last couple days.

I have heard of one or two guys that were able to work it and rotate the pump out w/o removing the mount though. It'* possible....from what they tell me.

Yea I tried to pry and twist gently but feels really tight.
I'm trying to remove the entire assembly not just the pump part.
Should I be doing this or just swap the pump out while still in the car?
