mounts on the PA
Time for a new front tranny mount. Might as well replace that wishbone mount behind the engine. Seems that god awful expenisve back tranaxle mount is getting soft, but it seems ok for now.
Noticed they removed the mount under the AC compressor and they changed the bottom rear mount behind the engine to a wishbone type. My lesabre feels much tighter than this when it shifts, and even the mounts are old on that. In the PA, is it possible to put a new mount and bracket in that AC area, or is it needed? It just seems the PA'* mounts are not as good..
Mounts are not cheap, and my subframe mounts have to be done as well. Thats gonna be arounds 360 dollars at the dealer.
I am just browsing the net for auto parts. Does anyone have any recommendations for mounts or, rather, premium mounts? I'd like to avoid the cheapo mounts they have at most autopart stores arounds here, and believe me, they don't have much. Its bad enough at the dealers that charge waay too much. I could try gmpartsdirect.com if thats the best way to go?

You can try and get them from GMPD... Or a Local Stealership... But for what you are going to pay.... I'd go after market..
Usually the front trans mount and rear dog bone will get bad.. Those ate the 2 that are commonly replaced..
If those mounts have slop in them the engine will rock around... If those mounts are good it can make a world of difference..
And trust me... Having a 91 H body with the fluid filled mount under the compressor and the Fluid filler rear mount under the Transaxle.... They aren't as strong as the newer set up..
I am still considering the TAM for the 91 just to give it a little more
