Bonneville needs a new Catalytic Converter?
 

It does rattle if kicked.
And today i took it out on the hwy with my digi cam to record it.
Under WOT accelerating from 40 it misses horribly. it goes from 4000 rpm to 2000 and bounces back and fourth, I couldnt even get it up to 80 mph today. Also in town if i accelerate to hard from a light...say 3000 rpms..it starts to miss.

Agreed, sounds like it. See if a muffler shop will let you road-test it (just for a mile or two) without the convertor just to be sure (it'll be really loud, but focus on the drivability), but I think the difference will be obvious as soon as they get the old one off.

Im just curious if it matters what brand of high flow cat i get..

Save your money and gain a few ponies. Just replace it with a straight piece of pipe.

Oh, yeah... My ears were ringing when I did it, but at least I knew for sure that that's where the problem was.

You won't gain power by putting in a straight pipe; the convertor doesn't contribute much backpressure and the car systems are designed to accommodate its being there.

You will, on the other hand, smell like a landscaper's pickup truck from all the unburnt hydrocarbons you'll be spewing. :roll: Just put in the cheapest convertor that will fit and you'll be fine.

K ive decided to go with a high flow one.
