97 3800 no bolt holes visible in harmonic balancer
Hello, New Guy here,
I have a 97 Bonn. with no intermit. no start issues, with crank sensor codes. Need some help here got the hb bolt off, but there are only two puller hole visible. Got the hb off using a welder and slidehammer, but would like to know what or why or how it could possibly rotate to hide one of the puller holes before I go any farther.
Thanks,
Mike

Yea its different lol, there was only two puller hole visible through the three holes where you insert the puller bolts, and you could only see them if you looked in at an angle.

Thanks for the quick reply and Welcome,
Ok, yea I can see how that could be possible. When I saw that the holes weren't lined I thought "AH HA" there'* the problem, but looking at HB I dont think that it matters to the sensor and pick ups were the outside pulley is. I've got a good pulley and sensor so I'll throw them on.
Thanks,
Mike

It would cause some noise and could throw the belt. So good thing your replacing it. They say replace the bolt as well because it'* a torque to yeild, but I have reused a few.
