Belt popped off and antifreeze leaking :(
I turned the car on and as soon as I started moving, I heard a clinking sound and then my check gauges light came on. There was nothing unusual about the gauges but then I could not steer. I popped the hood and my belt was off and there was antifreeze everywhere. Does anyone know what all is wrong/how to fix/how much would be too much to pay for this fix? I am not mechanically inclined, but I don't want to get screwed by the mechanics
Please help!

Check your water pump. Where did the antifreeze come from? Was it from the water pump? Putting a new belt on is a snap. A good gaterback belt is under $30 and takes 10 mins to change. The big question is where did that antifreeze come from. Did the water pump fail? Or did a heater hose fail spraying antifreeze and the belt causing it to come off? Can you get pictures of the area? What year we dealing with here?
I had a water pump bearing fail, locked up the WP pulley & threw the belt off. When replacing the water pump, the water pump housing (engine block side) was scored up pretty good from the shaft wobble after the bearing failed.
