Fuel sending unit. CRC? or CAC?
Hi, I have a 1994pontiac bonneville that has a fuel leak. I followed the rear nylon fuel lines up to the steel lines on the sending unit and felt gas. It seems they have rusted thru. It is the return or vent line because it does not leak alot.
So i called around and they asked me if it was a CAC or CRC sending unit. How will I know which one to get? Most places have to order this and I do not want to be down and get the wrong one and have to order the other one and wait? So really I need to know what the difference is between the two and how can I find out what one I need. Thanks. Also is it a good idea to replace the fuel pump at the same time or is it ok to just do the sending unit? Thanks Steve

The way to tell which one you have is to hope the tag on the electrical connection at the tank is low enough to read. Crawl under and look for the tag.
Sorry..the only other way I can think of is to bring your vin to a dealership and ask them to look it up.

The dealer might be able to get that info for you from your Vin. Most likely though you need the tag which is usually near the top and almost impossible to see.
