The battery in my 96 goes dead overnight. I put a new battery in the car three days ago and it still does the same thing. Checked out some of the electrical system but I am at an impasse and don't know where to go from here. I went through some of the old posts and it seems like none of them ever came to a successful conclusion so I am not sure what to try. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

First thing you should do is pull the fuse for your ELC at night. If the battery is fine, you found the drain. Just make sure you put it back in the morning. If that don't work we can look at other options.

On a 96 doesnt the ELC compresssor sit on the fenderwell? It'* easier on those just to pull the wire clip off the compressor. Did it every nite on my 92

I think your ride is cool. I am not a big fan of the large wheel small tire look (too old school I guess) but if it is done tastefully it is ok. Other than that the she is in really good shape for a 10 yr. old car from Ohio. Apparently it hasn't seen a lot of salt in the winter. Treat her right and she will last for a long time.

Have you had a chance to check if you have a ELC? If not, then choose a fuse from under the hood each night and then put it back in the morning. If the problem goes away you have at least narrowed it down to one area.

No man, not asking you to change your signature. I was asked in a previous post to add my cars' specs to mine.
Dan,
I think I mat have found the problem. I have twin granddaughters and I had them both in the back seat last week. Apparently one of them turned on the courtesy light over the rear door and I didn't see it. One light works the other does not so I am not sure which was causing the problem but the car started right up yesterday morning. We will see when I get ready to leave this AM.
