Need Part number/Price for pulley...
Guys and Gals,
I'm a short time lurker and first time poster...But I have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer to and I hope you can help.
I've had this loud whinning problem with my car for a while now (no...my wife isn't under the hood ). It started soft but has gotten worse. It'* to the point of being annoying. I've managed to trace it to the Double pulley on the front of the engine using the trusty rubber tube to ear method. I'm positive it'* comming from there. I've got the L67 engine and it has three pulleys stacked almost vertically. The top one is a tensioner pulley and the lower one is also a tensioner pulley but the one in the middle is the stationary double (smooth/ribbed) pulley. It'* this middle stationary pully that is generating all this racket. I need to locate just that part for replacement. My trusty dealership wants to sell me the whole pulley assembly kit with bracket (all three) for the low price of $145.00. First, that'* too much for a single pulley and I really don't want to go through all that work for one pulley.
Can you folks help me find the part number for just the part I need (I searched GMpartsonline to no avail)? Also, once I get the part, is the bolt a left or right hand thread? Thanks in advance for your help.

hehe I had to look through my archive of pics of my rebuild to find what your talking about. Looking at the front of the engine its just to the left of the water pump right? I'm not entirely sure you can get just that one. Calling your local dealership would be the best idea, they can find about anything. I took a part in that didn't have a number or any way to identify it and I really didn't even know where it came from but they still found it and ordered me a new one. Tell them its the pulley just to the left of the water pump (if thats it) and they can pull up a picture of it and if possible order you that part. Good luck
