Any trick to get the air cleaner hose off? & evap questi

My 96 has that goofy duct with the clamp on one side and none on the other, is there any trick to get that damn thing off the TB? I tried pulling it out, but I stop when something doesn't go my way so that I dont break anything, my CAI isnt ready yet and I dont want to break the duct which I will need to re-install later. Without removing that duct, I cant get the air cleaner assembly outta there which I need to do. Mayby there's another way?

Also, where is the evap purge/vent selnoid located? Thanks.

Just pull up on the back and work it around the flange on the TB

On the purge valve NFC

It should come right off. It's in a grove. Kind of life one side, then pull.

The evap purge solonoid is on your evap canister (about the size of a small coffee can made of black plastic) under your airbox.

Annnnnnnnt wrong answer! 92-95 this should be correct.
96+ they located it on the engine, Almost over the rear valve cover behind the alternator.

Refer to the vacuum routing on your radiator support cover. It should be diagramed there with hose routing and all.

Interested in how I know? Randman and I looked all over through the books etc and couldn't find it. We then in frustration, took a long pull off some beers and looking down..OMG..there it was...right in front of us on the cover.

Heheh! Mayby if I started drinking beer I will be able to fix my car easier (and be a bit braver going in there!)

Thanks ill have another go at it today.
