95 SSEi over heating
My 95 SSEi is over heating and its 10 deg out.
I've pin pointed it to the fans, there not coming on!!!!
when i put power (jump) the fans thay spin and work
what to do next????
anyone know where the fan relay is???
is there a temp sensor that could be bad???
any help would be appreciated

Your fans should come on when its 10 out??? Maybe your thermo is stuck because I dont think it would matter or not if the fans came on when its 10 out..

it was up towards 240-250,
when I would drive it would go down...
I had it in my garage at around 240 and niether fan was running..
The fans dont come on (in auto, ac on, ect)
Even if the thermo was stuck, the fans should be running, Correct???

I just bought the car last week, it wasnt over heating at first but 2 days ago i noticed it.
Ive checked the fuse for the fan and its ok. I didnt check them all but since I found the fan switch I thought there was no need
The relays on the fire wall, Im not sure which ones are for the fan but Ive switch them around and no luck

Ok.....since you just bought it, stupid question......coolant level?
Is there any belt slippage on the water pump? Is the pump 'weeping' fluid anywhere, or making noise? Have you removed the belt and spun the WP by hand? Have you inspected the thermostat? Let'* knock these things out. The overheating is a problem, regardless of fan operation. It shouldn't get that high especially this time of year. You may also want to try putting a flush product in the coolant. Follow the directions on the bottle, and then do a full coolant flush.
There are alot of contributing factors that could cause this, and you very likely have more than one problem. This is NOT common. It just might take a few guesses to nail it down.

You have said that the fans are not coming on... They are supposed to turn on at 212 degrees, high speed at 226 degrees.
You need to check Fuse 5C under the dashboard, then check Fuse 4 under the hood on the driver'* side.
The low speed relay is the one furthest on the driver'* side, and the high speed relay is right next to it.
The gauge on the dashboard has been known to read high, a scantool should give the proper coolant temperature.
I would also give the cooling system a flush and replace the thermostat.

ok, the fuse c5 and the fuses under the hood are fine.
the problem is in the fans, if im moving the temp is good, but if the car sits running for 20 min it gets over 240.. The fans nerer come on.
where is the temp sensor that tells the fan to turn on??? I believe there is one for the sensor/ECM and one for the gages, correct me if Im wrong
