i double checked everything i can see without removing the supercharger and i see nothing that was left off or missing.
any ideas :?:
As per our conversation on Yahoo! I've come to these conclusions!
First based upon the fact I can't FIND ANY SPECS on this "new" SC & TB setup, I believe that they're your whole problem lies there! A "Google" search on Fl Oz Sc'* came up blank!. Basically it'* like this.....Your stock fuel pump & pressure regulator can't supply enough fuel for the greater demand needed by the larger TB & SC! Therefore the O2 is setting a "lean" code & your plugs are getting "white" from the "too hot" combustion chamber setting produced by the "hotter" spark made by the MSD coils & wires! Both these "after-effects" back up my theory here! You are gonna have to get a "Adjustable" fuel presure regulator installed & maybe even a high volume Fuel pump to make this setup work better!http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.m...y_Code=GPUNDER Another possibility is to install a MAF Translator! http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.m...y_Code=GPUNDER Both these options may have to be done to get back the performance needed to run this set up!

That'* right along the lines of the advice I gave him too. The TB is bigger than his stock one, and ported/polished. The SC is ported/polished. He'* using his original sensors. He IS running lean.

It all falls right into place, Al. Jeffrey, I had my doubts when you started this, if you remember. Doesn't mean you won't be pleased with the end result, but it'* gonna take some more work. You're taking a big one for the team here. We're all gonna learn from you, so keep the info coming. Somebody else (DrJay) just asked me about the Floz upgrade for a 93 2 nights ago. I told him to wait for your final report.

For now.....I think this would be ok on a 94/95, as it uses the 94/95 sc and tb, but maybe not such a good idea for the 92/93.....until we get yours back on the road.

Jeffrey, I have an idea. Try to restrict the intake and reduce the airflow. Before you do this, reset your PCM. After you restrict it, let it run for awhile. If this has a better outcome, we know what the problem is for sure. I'm not sure this will tell us anything, but if it changes, we'll know why. Make your restriction as far from the MAF sensor as possible. Maybe cover part of your cone filter.

i have my fingers crossed. he said he has had only one problem with the upgrade i di9d and that was with the maf screen.

ill post back when i know more.
A 11" cone! That'* a bit overkill!
You never told me you removed that MAF screen? It'* a Digital MAF with a "Heated Grid" that year! That'* why my own MAF screen is still installed. there is two types of MAF'* generally used by GM on our cars: The "Heated Grid" Digital MAF & the "Hot Wire" MAF. The "Hot Wire" MAF can have it'* screen removed w/o any ill effect as the "Hot Wire" will still be there to register a signal. The other type of MAF NEEDS the Screen as there where the "heat" part goes through!

I know his screen was gone when he bought the car originally, and he didn't have any problems. The increased flow may be causing a problem now, though. Rat, what years were the 2 MAF types used?

Will, we may have inadvertantly stumbled on to the reason why some Bonnevilles can run without the MAF screen and others can't. I will be watching this closely as I have been torn between removing it and leaving it since first hearing about this mod back in August, 2002.
