Default ignition coils

Is there a way they can be tested?

Best procedure for testing them is bolting them up to another 3800. The testers at AutoZone (and the like) aren't accurate.

Many coils only fail when hot. Keep that in mind while using Techinfo.

Default coils

Simple test:
I use an OHM meter accross the two terminals of each coil.
You shouls get a reading of close to infinity. If any one coil checks lower than the rest its should be replaced.
