AllData opinions

Hey guys I need to change my AC evap core which means I need to tear the dash out. And I wanted to know if anyone has used AllData's service? And if it's any good?

Mike 03-22-2012 09:17 PM

I use it on my 97 Bonneville and my 2000 Blazer. It has good information, but sometimes its hard to navigate diggin through all the links.

I just want to make sure they have the info I need to rip that dash out and put back together.

Nothing beats the factory service manual. You didn't tell us what car you have so I can't give you a link to one, but you can get them on Ebay for most cars at a very reasonable price.

I'm not a fan of AllData.

If you're not using a service manual, I'd got Mitchell OnDemand. I've been using it for years and it's leaps and bounds over AllData.

I used Mitchell OnDemand at auto school. BACK IN 1995! I can only imagine how much further it has come along. But, I agree, MOD is far better with pictures and how-tos vs Alldata. I don't have any experience with Alldata Pro though.

Hey, that's where I used it! Except it was my step-dad doing the teaching at the school before they termed him.

I have a 98 SLE that I'm fixing the AC on and I heard that ALLDATA was pretty good but I'll check out Mitchell on demand.
