Default T-Stat and book

Is coolant going to spew everywhere when I replace my T-stat (do I need to drain first?). Also what is a good repair manual for this car? I think I've seen a couple different Haynes books. Chillton? GM service manual?

no need to drain coolant. just make sure car is cooled down before doing this procedure. some coolant will spill, and thats ok.

Some coolant will spill, and if you like the neighborhood pets, you'll dilute it down well with the hose.

Coolant can be rapidly fatal to dogs or cats, and they love it.

Well, if all else fails you can order from Intense or ZZP. You'll pay more, though. I did.

BS. EVERYONE has it. They just don't know how to look up non-stock applications. It'* the same physical size and shape (same series), but opens at 180 instead of 195. The parts guy has to know how to 'read' the part numbers correctly.

Chilton'* #28200 to answer the other question.

Factory service manual by Helm Inc. is the ONLY way to go.
